What if you have to retire earlier than planned?
If you do, you'll be in the same boat as most retirees today. Nearly 6 in 10 end up retiring earlier than they expected.1
That may sound like a dream come true. And for 1 in 10 retirees who stop working because they've saved enough, it probably is.1
But for everyone else, early retirement can come with unforeseen challenges.
That's especially true for the 46% who retire early due to health problems, not financial freedom.1
So, it may not be a surprise, then, to find out that a lot of people are less satisfied in retirement than they imagined.2
After all, it's no secret that retiring early can dramatically change how long your money needs to last.
That can disrupt any plans for retirement, and it's not the only curveball that may be on the horizon.
P.S. If you were forced to retire tomorrow, what would your retirement look like? Hit "comment" and share your thoughts. I'd love to hear your perspective, how you'd adapt, and whether you'd be excited (or not) about retiring early.
